In 1999, with a sense of concern for the world, my family and I moved overseas. Our work took us to several countries where our experiences and contact with the people around us opened not only our eyes but our hearts to the realities of life for those who live with less.
While living in China, we developed a friendship with a family who makes beautiful, handcrafted silk and silk brocade items. From that friendship, and our travels to other parts of Asia, the concept of RED lantern was born.
Upon returning to the United States in 2006, I found a like-minded partner in Wendy Currie and we moved ahead to realize a dream of bringing the kinds of unique, quality products from far away places you will not only love to own, but will find great pleasure and satisfaction in giving to others.
Because the needs of people around the world are never far from our minds at RED lantern, we are committed to giving 20% of your purchase to make an impact and meet those needs. We believe your lifestyle can make a difference.
